Westcare's History
The Westcare Group has been supporting people with disability since its original inception in 1947 as the Tuberculosis Association of Western Australia. It was originally formed as a voluntary association to assist with rehabilitation of tuberculosis (TB) patients being treated at Wooroloo.
Over the last seven decades Westcare has evolved from its humble beginnings to become a leading Social Enterprise and registered Australian Disability Enterprise providing quality employment, training and development, in addition to accommodation services at the Florence Hummerston Village.
